Second Harvest serves the hungry in Northwest Missouri and Northeast
Kansas through food distribution, education and advocacy. The vision of
Second Harvest is to end hunger in Northwest Missouri and Northeast
Kansas.
We provide
food assistance for food pantries, food kitchens, crisis centers, shelters
and other nonprofits to the following counties (Missouri): Andrew,
Atchison, Buchanan, Caldwell, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy,
Harrison, Holt, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway and Worth; (Kansas):
Atchison, Brown, Doniphan and Leavenworth. |
On Saturday night, I like to watch
movies and eat popcorn.
For many kids my age,
a Saturday night isn’t so much fun. That’s because they are hungry and
don’t have much food in the house to eat.
Luckily, Backpack
Buddies helps these children by providing nutritious food to children
over each weekend of the school year.
These kids need our
help! You can give the gift of food to a child through Backpack Buddies
–because hunger doesn’t
 take
the weekend off!
