Farm Bill Reauthorization --  The 110th Congress is slated to adopt major farm and food legislation in an omnibus multi-year authorizing law, commonly called the “farm bill.”  At this time, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the House Agriculture Committee have held a series of field hearings on the bill to provide interested stakeholders (farmers, conservationists, nonprofits, etc.) with an opportunity to voice their thoughts about program funding and legislative changes that should be included in the 2007 farm bill.  As we move through the reauthorization process, the following talking points and messaging materials will be further adjusted and refined.   (Second Harvest Review) (.pdf file)
